Dimapur, February 21: Dimapur police apprehended one ‘ss’ Corporal Hitono Yepthomi of NNC (Non Accord), a resident of Burma Camp, Dimapur from brick kiln at Tolovi village area on February 20 and recovered one labour card of National People’s Government of Nagaland (NPGN/NNC Non Accord); tax coupon of NPGN (NNC) containing 20 leaflet (10 issued slips, 10 none issued slips); and one bike (NL-07J-3872, Hero Honda Glamour) from his possession.
In this connection, a case has been registered at East Police Station.
On February 18, Dimapur police apprehended one Benjamin Achumi, a resident of Unity Village, 5th Mile, while extorting money from fish vendor selling fish from bicycle at 4th Mile.
In this connection, a case has been registered at Diphupar Police Station.
On February 17, Dimapur police arrested three persons identified as Khekavi Sumi of Nihoto village, ‘ss’ Khapor Ahoshe Sumi of NSCN (U) of Tokugha village and Akoyi of Nihoto village from United Village Dimapur for illegally collecting tax from sand laden trucks and recovered/seized Rs 2080 and 3 mobile handset from their possession.
In this connection, a case has been registered at Diphupar Police station.
2 held with illegal arms
On February 19, Dimapur police arrested one person from Ghorapatti area Dimapur for illegally possessing two .22 pistols without proper documents. The accused has been identified as Chumchamo Humtsoe of Lakhuti village, presently a resident of Bank Colony, Dimapur.
The illegal arms were seized and a case registered at West Police Station.
Again on February 19, Dimapur police apprehended one person from Burma Camp, Dimapur for illegally possessing one M.20 Pistol with magazine. The accused has been identified as Kughato Chophy of Ikishe village, Dimapur.
The illegal arms were seized and a case registered at East Police Station Dimapur.
