Dimapur, September 6: Dimapur District administration has notified to all butchers/meat traders within Dimapur district that in view of providing safe and hygienic meat to the customers, all the dress/processed meat of animals (cattle, buffalo, pig) are to be sold in proper meat shops and not in the open areas/unauthorized road side, open market stalls and highways exposed to dust, flies and other pollutants which is unhygienic and may cause a lot of health issues.
In a notification, ADC Dimapur, V Lovitoly Sema directed respective colonies/wards/village authorities to see that the order is followed.
The ADC also directed the butchers/meat traders to obtain trade license from their respective Municipal/Town Council.
She also directed all to comply with the order within 10 days from the date of issue, failing which defaulters would be penalized as per provision of the Act. (Page News Service)
