Dimapur Dist Admin distributes rice in different colonies

rice distributionDimapur, April 9: As part of the Dimapur District Disaster Relief, the district administration has allotted 20 bags rice to the Middle Point Colony today and large numbers of people were seen in queues manned by the colony youths who were frequently advising people to maintain social distancing to avail the government provided relief materials.
Talking to Nagaland Page, GB of Middle Point Colony, Hukato Aye opined that the colony have submitted a list of 1000 needy people who needs assistance.
“We have received 20 bags of rice today from the district administration and we are distributing it to the needy people only and nearly 160 people will be allotted 6 kgs each”, Hukato Aye expressed and added that more will be needed.
On the numbers of people provided with rice, Hukato Aye said as per the list provided to the District administration, we have submitted a list of nearly 1000 people who needs assistance.
We should have been provided more rice bags, but at this juncture pointing at the rice bags he said, “We are distributing 6 kgs per needy families of the colony and we will be needing more compared to the large numbers of people who will be left behind.
Meanwhile, rice was distributed to the needy people in Churches Colony and United North Block (A). (Page News Service)
