Dimapur boy shines in Delhi

Dimapur, September 9: Rishav Sethi, an alumnus of Hollotoli School nicknamed “Naga” by his college students has been elected as the General Secretary of Delhi Technological University (DTU) Student’s Association in the annual elections held on August 31 last.
It may be noted that erstwhile Delhi College of Engineering (DCE) has been renamed DTU which is 76 years old & is counted in Top-20 engineering colleges of India.
Rishav is 5th generation Dimapurian & son of Ajay & Anita Sethi who are social workers & running NIIT Dimapur center for the last 18 years.
Rishav achieved this feat with highest ever support of 105 out of 179 votes casted by Class Representatives who have been elected by their respective classes. More than 10,000 to-be-engineers are studying in DCE in various semesters, while Rishav himself is in the 5th semester pursuing Software Engineering.
His colleagues Gaurav Gupta (Kurukshetra), Puneet Lamba (Panipat) & Ritick Ganrai (Patna) have also been elected as President, Vice-President & Joint Secretary respectively
Rishav along with his colleagues laid the foundation for Aahvaan- the Sports Fest of DTU with the theme “Integration of North Eastern states” last year. It’s main event “Aarunya-the Rise of North East” got huge media coverage both in Northern and North-eastern states. His entrepreneurship skills led him to the post of General Secretary of E-CELL DTU, the most acclaimed Entrepreneurial organisation of Delhi-NCR. He is also associated with Bachpan Bachpan Andolan, an organization of Noble Prize Winner Kailash Satyarthi for the welfare of the children. (Page News Service)
