Dimapur bids adieu to outgoing DC

Dimapur, August 5: A farewell program in honour of outgoing Deputy Commissioner Dimapur, Anoop Kinchi IAS was held on August 5 in DC’s office Dimapur where the incoming DC Dimapur, Rajesh Soundararajan, officers from headquarters, District officers, outpost officers, Dobashis, representatives from Civil Societies attended the impressive program.
Addressing the gathering, outgoing DC Dimapur Anoop Kinchi IAS credited team work as the main driving force for the successful activities taken up in Dimapur during his tenure as DC Dimapur epecially in the fight against COVID 19 pandemic.
He thanked and lauded the Police, Medical team, administrative officers, sanitary workers, Red Cross, Convenors of various Committees, media, CSOs, NGOs Churches and the citizens of DImapur for extending their full support and cooperation to him and said he was truly touched.
Anoop further requested them to render the same cooperation to the new DC Dimapur reminding them that the pandemic was not over yet. He described the new DC Dimapur as an efficient young administrative officer and observed that the government has taken the right decision.
Incoming DC Dimapur, Rajesh Soundararajan IAS in his brief speech remarked that the outgoing Dimapur DC has set a strong foundation in place for handling the present COVID 19 pandemic.
He assured that together with the District administrative officers, district officers, Police, medical department, Civil society organizations and citizens of Dimapur he would continue to work on it, guided by the benchmark set by Anoop Kinchi.
He sought the same support and cooperation from the people as they have rendered to the outgoing DC Dimapur and was optimistic that Dimapur would move for a better future with their support and cooperation.
Commissioner Police Dimapur, Rothihu Tetseo IPS, who spoke on behalf of the district officers observed that although Anoop worked for a short stint of 9 months 1 week, yet has worked more than the other officers. He was always accessible, dedicated and he has contributed his talents and energy for Dimapur District without even going home for more than 6 months he maintained.
He conveyed his appreciation to the outgoing DC Dimapur and sought for his guidance even in the days to come. Tetseo also welcomed the new DC and assured to render full cooperation to work for the betterment of Dimapur district.
Speaking on behalf of Hq.officers , ADC Dimapur, V Lovitoly Sema described the outgoing DC as a humble, approachable and a person with high personality traits. She highlighted the various activities taken up by the Dimapur District administration under the leadership and guidance of Anoop Kinchi from day one specially for tackling the unprecedented COVID pandemic. There was no timing for him and whatever works comes across him, he worked tirelessly with an inclusive approach, she added.
Some bosses give targets, but he gave direction, some bosses lead by Authority but he led us by respect, Lovitoly noted.
Various speakers including, ADC Niuland, Athrila on behalf of outpost officers, CMO Dimapur, MS DImapur, Chandu Agarwal on behalf of Red cross, Paolum on behalf of DC establishment, on behalf of Dobashis, NCD, Pastor Yanbemo Ovung also spoke on the occasion appreciating the services rendered by the outgoing DC Dimapur for the betterment of the district.
Thejaser Khate added more colours to the program with a beautiful rendition.
The program was chaired by Revenue officer Dimapur, Mhalo Humtsoe while SDO (C) Sadar, Zubenthung Ngullie proposed the vote of thanks.
