‘Dictator scared again’: Congress after ‘nails placed on path of farmers’ ahead of ‘Delhi Chalo’ march

NEW DELHI FEBRUARY 11: As BJP-led Haryana Government sealed off borders with Punjab in a bid to stop protesting farmers from reaching Delhi, the Opposition Congress has accused the Modi Government of treating the country’s food providers like criminals.
Sharing a purported video on ‘X’, Congress said that the Modi Government has placed nails on the path of farmers and treating them like criminals.
“Farmers upset with the injustice of Modi Government are coming to Delhi. As soon as the Modi Government got wind of this, nails were placed on the path of the farmers. The path was blocked with stones. BJP Government has shut down internet in many districts of Haryana. Our food providers are being treated like criminals”, the Congress wrote on ‘X’.
The Congress said that instead of listening to the farmers, the Modi Government has considered them as their enemies.
“The Government should listen to the farmers and solve their problems. But intoxicated with ego, PM Modi and his Government have considered farmers as their enemies”, he said.
Ahead of the farmers’ proposed ‘Delhi Chalo’ protest march on February 13, the BJP Government in Haryana on Saturday suspended mobile internet, bulk SMS and all dongle services in 7 districts – Jind, Ambala, Kurukshetra, Kaithal, Fatehabad, Hisar and Sirsa.
The Government has also sealed off the Punjab-Haryana border in Ambala, Fatehabad and Jind in a bid to stop the farmers from reaching the national capital on February 13.
More than 200 farmer unions are likely to take part in the ‘Delhi Chalo’ protest march, which has been jointly called by the Samyukta Kisan Morcha (Non-political) and the Kisan Mazdoor Morcha.
