Dimapur, October 15: The Dalit Chamber Of Commerce inaugurated its office at Guwahati today and officially initiated its first chapter with Nagaland with the appointment of K Kathi Chishi as the coordinator for Nagaland .
Nagaland will be the first chapter inaugurated in the Northeastern states.
The organization currently has about 150 members in the Northeastern state and has been already assisting beneficiaries all over Northeast, under the Stand-up India Scheme in partnership with Indian Oil Cooperation, Bharat Petroleum cooperation Limited by means of providing LPG Tankers to ST/SC candidates (Schedule Tribe/Schedule Caste).
In total the organization has assisted about 150 beneficiaries to the tune of Rs 1 crore bank loan and to become a direct partner of Indian Oil Cooperation limited as oil tankers contractors and assisting the beneficiaries with direct corporate tie-ups with various banks, truck industries like TATA, Ashok Leyland, REIS etc.
So far all beneficiaries of Northeast have been selected by IOCL (Indian OIL Cooperation).
The highest beneficiary has being from the state of Nagaland with 57 beneficiaries, with an expected sanction of Rs.57 crores. (Page News Service)
