DGP inaugurates offices of DCP Zone I & DCP (T)


Dimapur, September 27: DGP Nagaland T. John Longkumer (IPS) today inaugurated the newly constructed offices of DCP Zone I and DCP (T) here at Police Colony Dimapur.
Speaking on the occasion, the DGP appreciated the efforts that the Dimapur police have been putting in curbing crime in the city and applauded the force for successfully busting the IRS scam and arresting the main culprits, asking them at the same time to put up a good case against them.
Asking them to keep the good work going, he said that Dimpur being a commercial hub attracts a lot of criminals of all hues and therefore the police force should remain on alert, especially on the entry and exit points explaining that if theses points are properly covered, the inside of the city gets properly covered. He also expressed that it is the duty of the police force to take care of the needs of its staffs and officers.
Delivering the keynote address, Commissioner of Police Limasunep Jamir, IPS had said that the developmental activities of the police force since the time the commissionerate system was launched has been unprecedented and expressed gratitude towards Dy. Chief Minister Y Patton for putting his trust on the police force.
He said that with the new facility, the police will continue to improve and ensure discipline and law and order in Dimapur.
Built at a cost of Rs. 90.62 lakhs, the two story office is spread on a total area of 5126 sqft (ground floor- 2280 sqft and first floor 2846 sqft). It contains eleven rooms and four common toilets.
M/S T.L. Morung Construction begun the construction of the building on 7 March 2016 and completed it in 29 August 2018. The total time allotted for the project was 24 months.
