DGC bids farewell to retiring Assistant Prof.

Dimapur, July 1: Dimapur Government College bade farewell to I. Suzzana Yaden, Assistant Professor, Department of English, on June 30. She joined the college in 1997.
In his speech, Dr. M. Libanthung Ngullie, Principal, DGC, fondly recalled his long professional association with Yaden. He termed it a privilege that she had undergone the three milestones of her career-appointment, promotion and retirement-in good health. He acknowledged her efforts and commitment in delivering her duties as a teacher in the college, and in particular, thanked her for composing the motto song, a legacy that would stand the test of time.
President of DGC Teachers’ Association (DGCTA), Dr. T. Jamedi Longkumer highlighted Yaden’s invaluable endeavours, in particular, during the first cycle of NAAC accreditation. A. Sentiyula, HoD, English, detailed how I. Suzzana Yaden set the bar high as the quintessential woman of God who shepherded her students in academics and all-round aspects of life.
The retiring officer in her farewell speech noted how she had gained by her time in the college and attributed all her achievements to the grace of God. She expressed how she would miss the lasting relationships built within the DGC community, a family that would remain in her heart always.
