DGC Alumni to organize seminar on climate change


Dimapur, May 15: The Dimapur Government College Alumni Association is organizing a one day Seminar on “Climate Change” in collaboration with the department of Environment, Forest, & Climate Change , Government of Nagaland on May 18 at the College Auditorium from 10 a.m. .
Supongnukshi IFS, Chief Conservator of Forest & State Nodal Officer for Climate Changer and Butesen Ozüküm, Freelance Trainer, Leadership & Community Development, Shillong will be the resource persons.
They will make presentations on the topics – Consequences of Climate Change and Counter measures ; Government response to the threat of Climate Change and Involvement of Community; Combating Climate Change through Conservation of Forest & Wildlife.
College principal, Kavili Jakhalu will give opening remarks and Meripeni Ngully, Associate Professor and Selina Walling Assistant Professor will conduct and moderate the seminar program.
All esteemed members of the teaching faculty and the students taking honours have been informed to attend the seminar as this program is organized exclusively for them.
All the alumni of the Dimapur government college have also been invited to attend the seminar.
