DIMAPUR, MARCH 2: The District Education Officer of Kohima, under the aegis of the directorate of School Education, conducted an online district level students’ science seminar and exhibition on the topics “Novel Covid-19 threat in future: Prospect & Challenges” (science seminar) and “Scientific Solution for Challenges in Life” (science exhibition) on February 24.
A press release from DEO, Kohima on Tuesday informed that 19 schools participated in the seminar and 17 in the exhibition. Judges for the competition were Teisovi Gerard Meyase, Asst. Professor, Dept. of Mathematics, Kohima Science College, Jotsoma, Peter Phewhuo, Reader, SCERT, Nagaland, Kohima and Tiawapang Kichu, PGT (Chemistry), Rüzhükhrie GHSS, Kohima.
Results were declared on March 1 as: science seminar: Lomunü Kweho of Mezhür Higher Secondary School, Kohima in the first position; Tiasola Aier of Model Higher Secondary School, Kohima and City Pongya of Rüzhükhrie Government Higher Secondary School, Kohima in second and third positions respectively.
In science exhibition: Edirenla of Fernwood School, Kohima in first position; Vivi K Awomi of Mezhür Higher Secondary School, Kohima and Neli Khrasi of Minister’s Hill Baptist Higher Secondary School, Kohima in second and third position respectively. (Page News Service)
