Nagaland News

Dimapur, August 10: The Dimapur Eastern Nagaland Students’ Union (DENSU) has condemned the recent incident, whereby two individuals by usernames Maongkala Imsong and Tino Longsen made their comments on the social media (Youtube), using derogatory, racial, abusive and discriminating statement against the winner of the Nagaland DIVA 2021 held at Dimapur on July 31,2021.
The comments made by those persons have not only assassinated the characters of the title winner of the said competition but also the entire Konyak/Eastern women, the DENSU said adding these two individuals have not just brought shame to their community but to the Naga society as a whole.
DENSU while appreciating the Officer-in-charge of the East Police Station Dimapur on registering the FIR and promptly investigating the matter, also appealed to the IO to expedite the investigation and bring the culprits to justice.
DENSU further stated that if the perpetrators are left unpunished, it will give rise to more similar cases in days to come and would further create disharmony among our own Naga people.
The union further urged all rightful thinking citizens to refrain from committing such crime. (Page News Service)
