DDMTC to hold prayers, live telecast of consecration ceremony at Ayodhya

Dimapur, January 21: In view of the “Pran Pratishtha” (consecration ceremony) of Ram Lalla at Ayodhya on January 22, Dimapur Durga Mandir Trust Committee (DDMTC) has chalked out a day long programme.
According to a press release, there would be prayers and aarti at 11.15 a.m. followed by live telecast of the consecration ceremony from Ayodhya in the Durga Mandir Hall from 11.30 a.m onwards.
At around 1.30 p.m Durga Mandir Sundarkand and Sakha Mandal would arrange the feast.
In the evening from 6.30 p.m. there would be recital of Sundarkand, followed by lighting of 1100 diyas in the temple.
The Committee has requested all its members to close down their shops and business establishments till 2 p.m. on January 22 and participate in the prayer in the temple or in their own homes and distribute sweets.
On the evening of January 22 they have been requested to light diyas in their respective homes and shops.
Dimapur Bengali Samaj (DBS) has requested members of the community to celebrate Pran Pratishtha of Bhagwan Shree Ram on January 22 by lighting lamps and flags.
“We have got this opportunity after five centuries of sacrifice and struggle of lakhs of people. We are fortunate and blessed to be part of such a momentous occasion”, it stated and requested to keep their commercial and business premises closed up to 2 p.m. and ensure safe and respectful removal of flags afterwards.
