Dimapur, March 24: The Dimapur district administration and Dimapur District Disaster Management Agency have set up a temporary relief camp to prove temporary relief measures to victims of the devastating fire on March 23 night at Y Zhimomi colony that gutted 27 houses affecting 34 families.
The administration today gave Rs 5000 each to the fire affected families as immediate relief. The DDMA had on March 23 night given Rs 20,000 on the spot to the colony council to provide food and shelter to the affected families.
The fire gutted 27 houses which were mostly semi pucca and kutcha houses. The cause of the fires is suspected to be short circuit.
RCD: The Rotary Club of Dimapur also distributed blankets, bed sheet, mugs and buckets to fire affected families of Signal Angami mtoday. The project was coordinated by Rtn Rakesh Kochar.
