Dimapur, April 10: In view of COVID-19, the District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) Dimapur distributed a total of 3628.4 bags (1814.20 quintals) of relief rice to various sub-divisions, organizations and individuals under Dimapur district as pr the SOP laid down.
The relief rice was distributed to various villages/colonies under Dimapur Sadar by the DDAM with the assistance of Nagaland NGOs Forum. The Chairmen/GBs of the various colonies/villages under Dimapur district were asked to submit the list of names of daily wage earners and the people in need who did not own a ration card. This was verified by the NNF from the colony/village authorities for further distribution.
According to DC Dimapur, administrative heads of the sub-division under Dimapur district were given the responsibility to distribute the relief rice as per the format provided by DDMA, Dimapur in their respective sub-division. (Page News Service)
