Dimapur, August 1: The Dimapur District GBs Association (DDGBA) has also joined other CSOs/NGOs of Dimapur in voicing against the transfer of DC Dimapur, Anoop Khinchi IAS and appealed to the State Government to immediately revoke the order and retain the incumbent DC in Dimapur.
In a release, DDGBA president Khehovi V. Chophi and general secretary L.Ponghok Phom decried “the sudden and unceremonious transfer” of Anoop Khinchi (IAS) during these precarious times when public, Government agencies and CSOs are all engaged in fighting the COVID-19 pandemic.
Declaring that it holds no grudges against the new DC nor interfering with the working system of the Government, yet the DDGBA said replacing the incumbent DC, who has been in office for only few months, appears “too haphazard, absurd, farcical and very uncalled for”.
The association urged the competent authorities to retain the incumbent DC, so as to enable him to shoulder the responsibilities, which he had been executing so efficiently in leading the collective fight against the common enemy (COVID-19). (Page News Service)
