Dimapur, Decmber 8: In view of recruitment examinations for social welfare department and taxes department which falls on Sunday, December 9, Dimapur Christian Forum (DCF) has appealed not to conduct public exams on Sundays.
DCF Chairman, Rev Moses Murry said for most observant Christians, Sunday is observed as a day of worship and rest, holding it as the Lord’s Day and the day of Christ’s resurrection. “Nagaland being a Christian state we need to keep this precept to live one’s life as Christian and also to inspire others,” he stated.
The DCF requested all the government departments to hold their exams on working days and not on Sundays.
