DCCI new office inaugurated


Dimapur, June 26: Dimapur Chamber of Commerce and Industry’s new office was inaugurated today by Hukavi A Zhimo, legal advisor of DCCI in a formal programme organized here at Naga Shopping Arcade, Super Market, Dimapur.
Zhimo, who was the chief guest on the occasion, said that Dimapur being the commercial hub of the State has multiple challenges and the problem of extortion, illegal taxation and unfair business practices are eating away the society from within. In this regard, he said the police, district administration and the district court has initiated some crucial steps so as to control the anti-social elements operating in Dimapur and DCCI must take full advantage of the initiatives.
He also asked DCCI to ensure quality in all the businesses under DCCI citing the example of recent banning of fish from the markets of Dimapur and asked it to be an example by ensuring quality, fair business practices and prosperity in all the areas of business.
Besides, he asked the chamber to focus some of its energy towards sanitation and cleanliness of Dimapur, mentioning that it is a matter of disgrace that Dimapur has been declared as one of the dirtiest cities in India.
Previously, DCCI president Akashe K Zhimomi in his speech had said that the office would remain open five days in a week and anyone can come with grievances during the office hours but cleared at the same time that DCCI would not entertain any person with unfair/illegal business practices.
All the advisors and office bearers of DCCI, presidents and secretaries of all the frontal organisations affiliated to DCCI, BAN and EDBA and well wishers were also present during the inaugural function.
