DIMAPUR, OCTOBER 18: The Dimapur Chamber of Commerce & Industry (DCCI) has warned the business community in Dimapur to strictly comply with the SOP issued by District Administration by wearing masks, wearing face shield, keeping hand sanitizers and maintaining proper physical distancing in the shop.
DCCI president, Akashe Zhimomi said that despite standing order of the district administration, the DCCI has found that majority of business community has not complied with the SOP. He said the DCCI went for a surprise checking which was carried out with law enforcing agencies and found out the lackadaisical attitude, where many shops and shopkeepers were found to be not even wearing the face mask, endangering public health.
The DCCI warned the business community that due to callousness of few shops and shopkeepers, it would not allow them to jeopardize the functioning of entire business community, which has been affected throughout the year.
Any shop or shop keepers defying the order would be strictly dealt with to the extent of sealing the shop as the situation has become a matter of grave concern, it said.
The DCCI further sought public corporation and requested shoppers to report non-compliance by shop/shopkeepers to the DCCI grievances cell, police and administration and also desist from buying from those shops not complying with SOP for their own safety and to check the spread of COVID-19 infection.
