DC Wokha on movement of commercial passenger vehicles

Dimapur, September 2: Wokha Deputy Commissioner, Orenthung Lotha has informed that all passenger vehicles plying towards Kohima/Mokokchung/Dimapur from Wokha is permitted under certain condition.
In a notification, the DC said drivers and attendant of commercial taxi and passengers should compulsorily wear masks at all times; drivers/attendant should make mandatory provision for hand sanitizers for use by the passengers and only passengers wearing masks must be allowed to travel. Non-Nagas travelling to Wokha without proper ILP/Government official ID card should not be allowed to board the vehicle or pass any of the check gates.
The rates of commercial taxi will be: Wokha to Kohima – Rs 500 per person, Wokha to Mokokchung -Rs 500 per person and Wokha to Dimapur – Rs 1000 per person. The number of passengers for all vehicles should be as per the norms of social distancing: Sumo – 5 passengers, Alto/Van – 3 passengers.
These provisions for commercial passenger vehicles shall be monitored and enforced by a joint team comprising of District administration, police and DTO, he said.
