DC Tuensang issues vehicle requisition order

Dimapur, April 11: In exercise of the power conferred under National Disaster Management Authority to take effective measures so as to prevent the spread of COVID – 19 in the country, Deputy Commissioner Tuensang and Chairman, District Task Force on COVID – 19, Kumar Ramnikant IAS has requisition official vehicles of some officers for emergency COVID – 19 related duties.
The officers are Executive Engineer, WRD, District Horticulture Officer, Chief Veterinary Officer, Assistant Registrar of Cooperatives, District Fisheries Officer, Urban Development Officer, District Planning Officer, Sr. Treasury Officer, District Agriculture Officer, Principal Sao Chang College, Assistant Controller of Legal Metrology, District Programme Officer ICDS, District Welfare Officer and Superintendent of Taxes.
The DC said the vehicles are expected to be in good running condition and it shall, along with attached /official driver, be available anytime on call. Further, all officers who are not in the station presently have been directed to report back immediately with their official vehicles and to remain in station during the lockdown period.
The DC warned that failure to comply with the order shall invite prosecution as per provisions of section 51 to 60 of the Disaster Management Act, 2005. (Page News Service)
