DC Tuensang directs pet owners

Dimapur, July 5: Following reports of dogs/domesticated animals venturing into COVID Hospital Tuensang and rummaging through hospital waste bins and feeding on leftover foods threatening public health and safety especially in view of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Deputy Commissioner Tuensang, Kumar Ramnikant IAS has directed all pet owners under Tuensang to restrain dogs/domesticated animals with immediate effect so as to prevent their venturing out and possible transmission of COVID-19 and other diseases.
The DC warned that failure to comply with the order shall invite strict actions on owners of such animals as per the provisions of law. (Page News Service)
