DC Mon issue directives to facilitate contact tracing

Dimapur, July 22: In order to facilitate contact tracing of persons affected with COVID-19 in future, Deputy Commissioner, Mon District, Thavaseelan Karunanidhy IAS has passed an order to Government and semi-government institutions functioning within Mon District to mandatorily maintain a register to record details of all visitors visiting their premises on a daily basis.
The order said the register should mandatorily contain data wise information with name, address and contact number of all visitors.
Thavaseelan directed all the HoDs/ in-charge of respective departments/offices to ensure strict enforcement of the order and will be responsible for its implementation and also to ensure that all their department staffs download the Aarogya Setu App.
The DC said the register is to be submitted to his office for all departmental offices in Mon town and to the respective ADC/SDO (C), EAC offices for departmental offices in sub-divisions every two weeks for verification.
The DC further directed all shops/ business establishments/ fire stations/ banks/ ATMs/ any other establishments within Mon District to mandatorily maintain a register to record full details of the customers visiting their premises to facilitate contact tracing of persons affected with COVID-19.
The order stated that the Mon Chamber of Commerce and Industries should designate one shopkeeper/ businessman in every wards to collect these registers to submit it to the administrative officers for verification every 1st and 3rd Saturday after 2 pm. (Page News Service)
