Dimapur, May 30: Deputy Commissioner Longleng has directed those villages and wards who have erected gates in their own discretion to ensure free movement of Government officers, employees and such other agencies exempted by the notification of the Government.
In an order, the DC noted that some villages and wards in Longleng have erected gates to restrict movement of people to and out of their village/wards. The order asserted that it is imperative that Government offices and other private agencies continue to function to ensure the proper implementation of the various Government policies and programs.
The DC warned that defaulters will be dealt with under section 51 (1) (a) & (b) of the Disaster Management Act, 2995. (Page News Service)
