DC Longleng informs dog owners

Dimapur, May 21: Deputy Commissioner, Longleng has informed all dog owners of Longleng town that facility institutional quarantine has been set up in and around the Longleng town to accommodate stranded persons coming from different parts of the country to the district, and that dogs straying in and around these quarantine centres in search of food is a threat to the health and safety of the public.
Therefore as precautionary measures to control and contain the spread of novel Corona Virus disease (COVID-19), the DC directed all dog owners in Longleng town to ensure that their dogs are chained/confined within their compound until further notice.
The DC warned that necessary action will be initiated against the defaulters.
Meanwhile in another order, the DC has requisitioned the following institutions as institutional quarantine centres: St. Joseph High School, Longleng; Nyenching Government High School, Longleng; and District Industries and Commerce office, Longleng.
