DC Kohima issues directives for preventing spread of Covid-19

Dimapur, February 7: DC Kohima, Gregory Thejawelie NCS has issued directives for strict implementation throughout Kohima district with immediate effect till February 15.
All the existing restrictions in the district for preventing the spread of COVID-19 as issued in the earlier orders, including those on social/religious/political/sports/academic/cultural/ entertainment gatherings etc. would continue.
The offline/physical classes for students of Classes I to VIII is allowed up to 50% attendance from February 15 subject to parental consent of the student concerned. For those students who do not have parental consent to attend physical/offline classed, the present system of online teaching by the schools shall be continued. All other conditions on vaccination, testing and other generic preventive measures and planning, as mandated in the SOP Dated 04th February 2022 should be fulfilled and intimated to the District Task Force (DTF) Kohima during application for permission.
Due permission of DTF Kohima may be sought through the District Education Officer, Kohima. Applications may also be sent to, Helpline Nos. 6033833879/9362705742 may also be contacted for any assistance.
Any person/group of persons acting in violation of the above directions, as well as all the other existing orders/SOPs/guidelines, for preventing the spread of COVID-19, would be liable to be prosecuted against under the relevant sections of the Disaster Management Act, 2005, besides action under Section 1 88 of IPC and other legal provisions as applicable.
