Dimapur, December 3: After noting that some persons/groups of persons have been organising gambling activities including dice games (chandi monda etc) in and around Kohima Town, the Deputy Commissioner of Kohima Shanavas C has banned all gambling activities including dice games with immediate effect.
In an order, the DC stated that such activities are not only illegal but also create public nuisance and disrupt the peaceful atmosphere of the town. He warned that strict action will be initiated against defaulter(s) as per relevant sections of the law.
