DC Dimapur urges for strict implementation of revised guidelines

Dimapur, April 22: In exercise of the powers, conferred under section 30(1),(2) of Disaster Management Act 2005, Deputy Commissioner of Dimapur Anoop Khinchi has issued directions for strict implementation of the consolidated revised guidelines throughout Dimapur district with immediate effect upto May 3.
In order to implement the containment measures, DC deputed the Executive Magistrates as Incident Commanders in the respective local jurisdiction. It was also mentioned that the Incident Commanders will be responsible for the overall implementation of the measures in their respective jurisdictions strictly as per directives and all other line department officials in the specified area will work under the directions of such Incident Commanders.
All industrial and commercial establishments, workplaces, offices etc., shall put in place arrangements for implementation of SOP. However, the consolidated revised guidelines will not apply in containment Zones.
DC further informed that any person violating the lockdown measures will be liable to be proceeded against as per the provisions of Section 51 to 60 of the Disaster Management Act,2005, besides legal action under Sec 188 of the IPC, and other legal provisions as applicable. (Page News Service)
