DC Dimapur directive to orgs engaged in food distribution

Dimapur, March 30: DC Dimapur, Anoop Khinchi, IAS has directed all organizations/NGOs carrying out humanitarian act in the district in view of the ongoing lockdown to do so only through collaboration with the district administration so that proper food safety regulations, precautions and social distancing is maintained and also to ensure that distribution of relief materials to the destitute across the entire town can be covered in a systematic way.
The DC issued the directive after noticing that organizations/NGOs distributing food to the daily wage earners, migrant workers, people in distress and policemen performing duty on the streets were doing so without maintaining proper social distancing and other laid down protocols through various advisories issued in the interest of the public by the Government.
The DC informed all NGOs engaged in food distribution and other humanitarian activities to contact EAC (Dev), DC Office Dimapur at 7005968695 for necessary coordination and assignment of areas under the community kitchen initiatives. (Page News Service)
