DB Tech launches 25th batch skill training programme

Dimapur, May 27: The 25th batch of skill development training programme for unemployed youth was inaugurated at Don BoscoTech AIDA Centre, Dimapur here on May 26.
Pritpal Kaur, IPS who graced the occasion as the chief guest expressed gratitude to the institute for giving a platform to the unemployed youth and excels further in their respective field.
Encouraging the trainees on their career, she said don’t listen to people, listen to your heart and nothing is impossible, she maintained.
“Follow your passion, failure may be there but what you learned through failure is your success and apprised that ‘failures is only a speed breaker in life,” said Kaur.
While she also advised the trainees to avoid shortcut and avoid illegal means to achieve success
Rev. Fr. P. J. Thomas, Parish Priest of Holy Cross, Dimapur, the guest of honour impressed upon the trainees to impart the dignity of labour and work hard in order to achieve success.
Thomas said the institute will help the trainees to stand on their own feet, so they should take the golden opportunity in making the best use of it during the training course.
Bro. Sunny Joseph, Executive Director of AIDA and province coordinator of Don Bosco Tech sharing a brief report on DB Tech’s activities in Nagaland said the institute has trained 1600 trainees where more than 1500 trainees have been placed in different companies and jobs. While speaking on the importance of skill development program to the unemployed youths, he said ‘if given opportunity, they can be valued person in the society’.
He also called on the trainees to gain their knowledge after getting the placement to work in different cities and then come back to Nagaland to start their own business and be a job provider.
One of the trainees also shared his experience about the training course, while various cultural song and dances such as Yimchunger folk dance, Sumi folk song, Modern folk song and Nepali folk song ignited the spirit of the program.
After the inaugural function, parents-staff meeting was held, during which, the parents were informed about the training process.
Batch 25 of the skill development training for unemployed youth are imparting skill development to 64 trainees currently from different states of northeast. Training is imparted in hospitality – food and beverage service and assistant beauty therapist.
