Mokokchung, February 22: District Management Unit (DMMU) DAY-NSRLM conducted four days block level training of community service providers on sustainable agriculture and livestock under National Rural Livelihood Mission at NSRLM office, Kubulong Block and Chuchuyimlang block in Mokokchung district from February 14 to 18, which was attended by 20 participants. The resource persons for the programme were Dr Sanen Jamir (Department of AH & Veterinary Health Service), Takalemba Jamir (DFS, NSRLM), Imsuakum Pongen (area coordinator) and Temsurenlakichu (area coordinator) from NSRLM.
The programme was conducted by DAY-NSRLM Mokokchung as part of DAY-NSLRM’s Annual Action Plan for the FY-2019-2020.
The programme was initiated to promote agro-veterinary practice that increase women farmer’s income and reduce their input cost, risk and drudgery.
The Community Service Provider under agriculture & livestock were trained and demonstrated on improved agricultural practices and livestock rearing.
