Dimapur, July 31: The 2nd Quarterly District AIDS Prevention and Control Committee (DAPCC) meeting held on July 26 was chaired by Hiazu Meru, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Mon Sadar at DC Conference Hall, Mon.
In his brief key note address, acknowledged the valuable services rendered towards prevention and care of HIV and drug addiction in the district through DAPCU (NSACS), he had mentioned that HIV and drug addiction has no boundary, and therefore called upon every sections in the society to understand the reality and take the responsibility and put collective efforts to prevent from further spread of the disease and extend support to create an enabling environment for them to access treatment services to live a healthy life.
Longyim Tzudir, District Programme Officer, DAPCU Mon while presenting the Facility wise performance of all programme components implementing in Mon district, he thanked the DAPCC members for their valued and constant support. Some of the agendas discussed in the meeting were need of Awareness programme on HIV with the Students (edu), Police, and ToT for Church leaders, and social protection schemes for PLHIV and MARGs from government and other agencies.
