DABA, EKI signs MoU for skill development


Dimapur, August 23: A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between Dimapur Ao Baptist Church (DABA) and Emporium Skill Institute on Thursday for providing placement linked skill developing training for the unemployed Ao youth in international/domestic aviation and hospitality sector.
During a programme held at DABA Office, Dimapur, Associate Pastor, DABA, Rev. Lima Jamir said that the initiative was done under the Member Care Ministry of DABA which has also been imparting short term skill development training to the youth of DABA church members for the last four years on various fields.
Taking up such initiative, he said is a humble contribution the society towards curbing unemployment problem and particularly to its church members. He said the church would be sponsoring 30 interested youth of DABA in the first batch to undergo training at the Emporium Skill Training Institute, Dimapur.
Operation Manager, Emporium Institute, Anirban Mukherjee giving a brief report of the institute said that the Emporium Skill Training Institute is a leading training institute under the ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, National Skill Development Cooperation, Aviation and Aerospace sector skill council, Government of India. He said that the institute has also been working with the Directorate of Employment, Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Government of Nagaland as a training partner since the last 6 years.
The interested candidates will be jointly screened by DABA and Emporium and the selected youth will be trained for cabin crew/air hostess, airport management, five star hotel management & cruise line management job roles for a period of three months. (Page News Service)
