
Dimapur, November 29: Stating that in the past with the onset of various night bazaars and events during the festive season, many instances of antisocial related behaviors were reported, the Chumoukedima Town Youth Organization (CTYO) has informed that it will not tolerate any such activities including drinking in public places, substance abuse, rowdiness, intoxicated behavior, loud music during the wee hours within the jurisdiction of Chumoukedima town. It warned that anyone who tries to disrupt the peace and tranquility of the peaceful town will be dealt with strictly.
Volunteers will be deployed to conduct checks regularly for the said purpose, it informed.
In a release, CTYO also prohibited the sale of calendars, raffles, badges, lotteries, donations and others at exorbitant prices in its jurisdiction. It urged business establishments to check its inventory for expired goods and refrain from selling such items or any items beyond the MRP, warning that strict action will be taken against defaulters.
CTYO also requested all to celebrate the festive season responsibly and to wear masks at all social events to safeguard themselves, their family and others. It wished all a joyous Christmas and prosperous New Year. (Page News Service)
