CTAN appeals to Govt. on JE recruitments

Nagaland News

DIMAPUR, OCTOBER 25: The Combined Technical Association of Nagaland (CTAN) has appealed to the Government of Nagaland not to accept and entertain the representation submitted by the Power Department Junior Engineer’s Service Association (PDJESA) and all Nagaland Junior Engineer’s Association (ANJEA) seeking 70% of posts of SDO/Asst. Engineer/Asst. Architect be filled through promotion and 30% through NPSC.
In a statement, CTAN reminded that there is an existing Engineering Service Rule 7, 2012 (Group A and B) Section 6, which says 60% of post of SDO/Asst. Engineer/Asst. Architect should be filled through NPSC and 40% through promotions from lower grade. This service rule should be retained, it said.
The Power Department Junior Engineer’s Service Association (PDJESA) and all Nagaland Junior Engineer’s Association (ANJEA) had submitted the representation on February 18, 2022 and June 8, 2022 to the Principal Secretary, Department of Power, and to the Chief Secretary respectively.
The CTAN said it will in no way allow and accept the “illogical demands” made by ANJEA and PDJESA keeping in mind the number of engineering graduates passing out from different universities each year in hundreds. At present there are 5200 plus registered qualified engineers are seeking to sit for exams, it claimed.
The CTAN urge the concerned authority not to entertain “any such selfish demands”, keeping the interest and welfare of the educated engineers. It also warned that CTAN will go up to any extend in delivering justice to deserving candidates.
