CPO observes 72nd Naga Independence Day


Kohima, August 14: In commemorating with the 72 Naga Independence Day, the Chakhesang Public Organization (CPO) observed a commemoration program of Naga Independence Day today here at CBCK, Cezo Mepu, Billy Graham Road, Kohima where Yesonu Veyie & Advocate Timikha Koza both former CPO Presidents shared the historic testimonies of the Naga Freedom struggle.
According to a press statement issued by CPO General Secretary Mutsivoyi Kotso, the day observation was attended by nation lovers from across the Chakhesang community.
Earlier, Rev. Khrotso Mero, Sr. Pastor, Chakhesang Baptist Church, Kitsubozou (CBCK) invoke God’s blessings for the smooth proceedings of the program. CPO President Kekhwengulo Lea delivered a welcome note, Shetsuyi Ruho & friends enthralled the gathering with indigenous song while Rev. Vevozo Khamo, Executive Secretary, Chakhesang Christian Revival Churches Council (CCRCC) pronounced the closing prayer followed by a celebration feast.
