COVID vaccination will continue during lockdown in Nagaland

Dimapur, May 12: The Department of Health & Family Welfare, Nagaland has informed that COVID-19 vaccination will continue during the lockdown.

Informing this, State Immunization Officer, Dr Ritu Thurr requested all beneficiaries due for 2nd dose of vaccination to avail the same at the earliest. The due time of 6 weeks (42 days) to 8 weeks (56 days) will fall in the month of May 2021.
The number of beneficiaries due for 2nd dose in the month of May is 32,770.
Dr Thurr requested the due beneficiaries for 2nd dose to carry their registered mobile phone and ID document used while getting their 1st dose for their verification to police personals, volunteers, etc, so that they don’t face unnecessary harassment while going for vaccination.
Stating that as per union ministry’s order, priority is being given to 2nd dose beneficiaries so as to get them fully vaccinated, Dr Thurr informed that vaccination in each COVID Vaccination Centre (CVC) will go in the 70:30 ration ( that is, 70% booked for 2nd dose4 and 30% for 1st dose).

The doctor requested all beneficiaries going to CVC for vaccination to follow COVID appropriate behaviours. (Page News Service)
