KOHIMA, FEBRUARY 10: Two fresh COVID-19 cases were detected in Nagaland on Wednesday taking the total confirmed cases to 12,168. The State also recorded 3 recoveries from the infection, keeping the active cases at 87.
The caseload includes 11,843 recovered persons, according to the Director of Health and Family Welfare, Dr Denis Hangsing.
Till date a total of 88 persons, including 10 with co-morbid conditions, have succumbed to the infection in the State, while 150 patients have migrated to other states.
Nagaland’s COVID-19 recovery rate stands at 97.32%, he said.
Out of the confirmed cases, 5,051 are traced contacts, 4,674 armed forces personnel, 1,870 returnees from other States and 573 frontline workers.
Among the active cases only two patients are with mild symptoms while 85 persons are asymptomatic, he added.
Meanwhile, a total of 1,324 frontline workers were vaccinated today across Nagaland.
A press release from the Health Department informed that 6,629 healthcare workers and 2,319 other frontline workers from administration, police, central forces etc., have been vaccinated till date, taking the tally to 8,948.
No adverse events needing medical intervention have been reported till date, it added. (Page News Service)
