COVID Nagaland: Tally rises to 12061
Kohima, January 18: Nagaland reported 3 new COVID-19 cases on Monday taking the tally 12,061, while 4 patients recuperated keeping the active cases at 115, a health official said on Monday.
“3 positive cases of #COVID-19 have been detected today. Dimapur- 2, Mokokchung- 1. Also 4 +ve patients have recovered. Kohima- 2, Dimapur- Peren- 1 each”, said Health Minister S Pangnyu Phom in a tweet.
The caseload includes 11,717 recovered patients, he said.
The recovery rate in the State is 97.14% while the active cases are merely 0.95% of the total caseload, stated the daily COVID-19 bulletin issued by Health Department. The death toll in the State is 88, out of which 78 are due to contagion and 10 had comorbidities, while 141 patients have migrated to other states, it said.
The district wise distribution of confirmed cases are Dimapur (6,455), Kohima (3,773), Mon (605), Peren (504), Tuensang (245), Mokokchung (191), Zunheboto (142), Phek (47), Kiphire (41), Wokha (39) and Longleng (19).
Out of the confirmed cases, 4,972 are traced contacts, 4,663 are armed forces personnel, 1,854 returnees from other States and 572 frontline workers, he said.
The district wise active cases are Dimapur (48), Kohima (54), Mokokchung (11), Peren (1) and Mon (1).
Among the active cases, 11 patients are with mild and moderate symptoms, 5 are severe on oxygen and one is critical in ICU, he said. Altogether 101 persons are asymptomatic.
The recovered persons are Dimapur (6,274), Kohima (3,662), Mon (593), Peren (503), Tuensang (243), Mokokchung (171), Zunheboto (139), Phek (47), Kiphire (40), Wokha (35) and Longleng (10).
A total of 1,23,166 suspected COVID-19 samples have been tested in Nagaland so far, including 72,873 on RT-PCR, 36,995 on TrueNat and 13,298 on Rapid Antigen Test, the COVID-19 bulletin stated.
