COVID Nagaland: 5 new cases take tally to 12,205

Kohima, March 3: Nagaland today reported 5 fresh infections of COVID-19 pushing the State’s tally to 12,205 after two consecutive days of nil new detection.

“5 +ve cases of COVID-19 reported today at Kohima,” said Health Minister S Pangnyu Phom in a tweet. The caseload includes 11949 recovered persons, which is 97.90%, he said.
35,535 vaccinated
35,535 doses of the Covishield vaccine have been administered across Nagaland till date.
State Immunization Officer, Dr Ritu Thurr said 483 senior citizens (60 years & above) and 55 beneficiaries with specified comorbidities between 45-59 years successfully received the Covid vaccine without any adverse events needing medical interventions.
He informed that vaccination will continue for citizens across all notified COVID-19 vaccination centers (CVCs).
