COVID appropriate behaviour to be strictly enforced in Kohima District

Dimapur, April 19: Kohima District administration will strictly enforce COVID appropriate behaviour, especially wearing of masks in public places and practicing social/ physical distance in Kohima District with immediate effect.

In an order issued today, Deputy Commissioner Kohima Gregory Thejawelie NCS directed organizers of social/ academic/ entertainment/ cultural/ political/ religious functions, shops, markets, restaurants, hotels, business establishments, Government and private offices, educational and religious establishments, public transport under Kohima district to strictly enforce COVID appropriate behaviours of mandatory wearing of masks: hand hygiene (hand wash/ hand sanitizer) and maintaining physical distance.
All gatherings outside the containment zone, which is permissible, shall be limited to 50% of the seating capacity or 200 persons, whichever is lower. Thermal screening shall also be mandatory for all gatherings. In the case where the number of persons is more than 200 in open spaces, prior permission of the DTF shall be taken by e-mail/ WhatsApp to or 8413097970.
The order stated that defaulters shall be penalized as per Government order.
Kohima DC office complex
Meanwhile the DC Kohima had made it mandatory for all officers, staff and visitors to the Office of the Deputy Commissioner, Kohima Complex to wear mask, practice physical distancing and hand hygiene at all times.
In another order issued today, the DC informed that no visitor shall be allowed entry into the office for purpose of selling any items of handicraft, ticket, calendars, badges, etc. Only authorized vehicles shall be allowed entry into the Deputy Commissioner, Kohima Complex and all other vehicles shall be parked outside the complex.
The order said there shall be no public interview in the Office of the Deputy Commissioner, Kohima on Wednesdays, except for matters of very urgent nature and matters concerning law and order.
No visitor shall have access to any file or noting from any file, except through the laid down procedure of the RTI Act.

The authorized officer/staff/dealing assistant/ peon shall be accountable for safe custody and proper handling of files and records, the order said, adding SDO(C) (Establishment) shall co-ordinate the required logistics for effective adherence to these instructions. (Page News Service)
