COVID-19 : Recovery rate improves to 87% amidst 4220 confirmed cases

Kohima, September 7: Nagaland today reported 173 COVID-19 patients testing negative increasing the number of recovered patients to 3,674 amidst detection of 42 new cases pushing the tally of confirmed cases to 4,220.
“Altogether 42 new cases of COVID-19 was detected out of the 506 samples tested – 36 from Dimapur and 6 in Kohima were detected, said Additional Director of Health and Family Welfare, Dr Denis Hangsing in the daily COVID-19 bulletin.
Also, 173 COVID-19 patients have tested negative for the virus – Kohima (91), Dimapur (78) and 2 each in Wokha and Peren increasing the recovery rate of the State to 87.06%.
Another 525 COVID-19 patients are active, while 10 have died and 11 have migrated to other states, he said.
The district wise confirmed cases are Dimapur 2,042, Kohima has 1,332, Mon 294, Peren 268, Zunheboto 114, Tuensang 68, Phek 33, Mokokchung 29, Wokha 24, Kiphire 11 and Longleng 5.
The case segregation comprises of 1,823 armed personnel, 1,297 returnees from other States, 791 traced contacts and 309 frontline workers.
The district wise active cases are Dimapur 247, Kohima 200, Mon 30, Tuensang 16, Kiphire 10, Mokokchung 9, Zunheboto 7, Wokha 1, and Phek district has 2. Among the active patients, 12 are symptomatic while 513 are asymptomatic patients.
The district wise recovered persons are Dimapur 1,783, Kohima 1,125, Peren 268, Mon 260, Zunheboto 107, Tuensang 52, Phek 31, Wokha 23, Mokokchung 20, Longleng 4 and one in Kiphire district. (Page News Service)
