COVID-19: NDPP Central Youth Org appeals to people to remain calm

Dimapur, March 31: In the wake of the global outbreak of COVID-19 and the nation-wide lockdown for 21 days, the NDPP Central Youth Organisation has appealed to the people of Nagaland to remain calm, cooperate and collectively battle to prevent the contagious COVID19 disease from reaching our state.
The NDPP Central Youth Organization further appealed to the general Public to adhere to the order of total lockdown and remain at home except for procuring essential needs and also follow basic hygienic measures as advised by medical experts, which will extensively help in curtailing the spread in the eventuality of an outbreak.
The NDPP youth organization lamented that in the face of a cataclysmic situation such as the outbreak of COVID19, numerous incorrect and politically motivated expositions are being wrung out to target political leaders and political parties, which is totally inappropriate and uncalled for in these trying times. The NDPP CYO appealed to the people across all political affiliations or ideologies, religious beliefs and communities to set aside their differences and come together to collectively battle against the impeding predicament.
It also appealed to all social media users and bloggers to not insinuate, encourage or indulge in political tiffs and squabbles, fear-mongering or spread fake news which could further deteriorate the prevailing situation but rather make good use of the digital platform in reaching out and to continually sensitize the public on COVID19; and to only publicize or share authenticated and verified information for public consumption.
NDPP Central Youth Organisation upheld that the safety and wellbeing of the people must be paramount and it is the responsibility of every right thinking and sensible citizen to ensure that all the citizens of Nagaland are equipped with the right information and input to tackle the outbreak of COVID-19.
