COVID-19 Nagaland: Weekly infections & fatalities decline


DIMAPUR, NOVEMBER 6: Nagaland recorded 94 new COVID-19 cases in the week that ended on November 5, a decline from the previous week’s count of 122 cases.

According to the State Health Department’s weekly bulletin, the number of weekly fatalities also registered a decline, 4 deaths compared to last week’s 6 fatalities.
Of the 4 deaths recorded this week, 2 were at Dimapur and 1 each at Kohima and Tuensang.
The number of new hospital admissions this week was 23, an increase by 1 against the previous week’s tally.
The week’s sample positivity rate was at 2.2% ~ 94 positive cases out of 4,214 samples tested.
For the last 12 weeks, the weekly sample positivity rate has remained below 5%, according to the Department.
However, in the week that ended on November 5, Kiphire and Tuensang reported weekly sample positivity rate of more than 5%.
“More than 12 lakh doses of COVID-19 vaccines have been administered across the State and Dimapur, Kohima, Longleng, Mokokchung and Mon remain the most vaccinated districts”, it stated.
