COVID-19 Nagaland: Tally at 12,066

Kohima, January 19: Nagaland today reported 5 new cases increasing the COVID-19 tally 12,066, while 7 patients recovered keeping the active cases at 112.


“5 COVID-19 positive cases – 3 in Dimapur and 2 in Kohima were reported today, while 7 patients – 5 in Dimapur and 2 in Kohima also recovered during the last 24 hours, said Director of Health and Family Welfare, Dr Denis Hangsing in the daily COVID-19 bulletin.
The caseload includes 11,724 recovered patients, he said.
The recovery rate in the State is 97.16% while the active cases are merely 0.93% of the total caseload, the COVID-19 bulletin stated.
Altogether 88 have succumbed, out of which 78 are due to contagion and 10 had comorbidities, while another 142 patients have migrated to other states, he said.
The district wise distribution of confirmed cases are Dimapur (6,458), Kohima (3,775), Mon (605), Peren (504), Tuensang (245), Mokokchung (191), Zunheboto (142), Phek (47), Kiphire (41), Wokha (39) and Longleng (19).
Out of the confirmed cases, 4,973 are Traced Contacts, 4,665 are armed forces personnel, 1,856 returnees from other States and 572 frontline workers, he said.
The district wise active cases are Kohima (53), Dimapur (46), Mokokchung (11), Peren (1) and Mon (1).
Among the active cases, 13 patients are with mild and moderate symptoms, five are severe on oxygen, he said. Altogether 94 persons are asymptomatic, he said.
The recovered persons are Dimapur (6,279), Kohima (3,664), Mon (593), Peren (503), Tuensang (243), Mokokchung (171), Zunheboto (139), Phek (47), Kiphire (40), Wokha (35) and Longleng (10).
A total of 1,23,359 suspected COVID-19 samples have been tested in Nagaland so far, including 72,895 on RT-PCR, 37,006 on TrueNat and 13,449 on Rapid Antigen Test, said Dr Hangsing. (Page News Service)
