COVID-19 Nagaland: Tally at 11,115 with 9,724 recovered & 1,218 active

Kohima, November 28: Nagaland on Saturday recorded 24 fresh COVID-19 cases and 25 recuperated from the infection with confirmed cases standing at 11,115, said State Health officials.


“24 +ve cases of # COVID-19 detected. Dimapur- 19, Kohima- 3, Peren and Tuensang- 1 each. Also, 25 +ve patients have recovered. Tuensang- 19, Mon- 4, Mokokchung- Phek- 1 each,” said Health Minister, S Pangnyu Phom in a tweet.
The caseload includes 9,724 recovered persons and 1,218 active patients, said Director of Health Department, Dr Denis Hangsing in the daily COVID-19 bulletin.
The recovery rate of COVD-19 patients in the State is 87.48 percent, he said.
The death toll in the state is 67, out of which 57 are due to contagion, 7 had comorbidities while cause for three deaths is under investigation, he said.
A total of 106 patients have migrated to other States, he said.
The district wise distribution of confirmed cases are Dimapur (6,138), Kohima (3,314), Mon (596), Peren (479), Tuensang (212), Zunheboto (140), Mokokchung (120), Phek (44), Wokha (29), Kiphire (25) and Longleng (18).
Out of the confirmed cases, the segregated data comprises 4,538 armed forces personnel, 4,285 Traced Contacts, 1,770 returnees from other States and 522 frontline workers, he said.
The district wise active cases are Dimapur (666), Kohima (331), Peren (165), Mon (29), Tuensang (23), Phek (2), Zunheboto (1) and Kiphire (1).
Among the active, 69 patients are with mild and moderate symptoms, while 5 are critical in ICU, he said, adding that 1,144 persons are asymptomatic.
The recovered persons are Dimapur (5,364), Kohima (2,948), Mon (556), Peren (314), Tuensang (188), Zunheboto (136), Mokokchung (116), Phek (42), Wokha (28), Kiphire (23) and Longleng (9).
So far, a total of 1,12,347 suspected COVID-19 samples have been tested in Nagaland, including 68,790 through RT-PCR, 35,988 on TrueNat and 7,569 on Rapid Antigen Test, said Dr Hangsing. (Page News Service)
