COVID-19 Nagaland: Only 1 case detected

KOHIMA, DECEMBER 20: Nagaland on Monday reported only 1 fresh infection taking the total of confirmed cases at 32,170.
The positive patient was detected in Dimapur district, said State Nodal Officer for Integrated Disease Surveillance Project, Dr Nyanthung Kikon in the daily COVID-19 bulletin.
With no recovery for the day, the recovered persons tally remained at 30,317 and recovery rate at 94.24%.
There are 83 active patients, of who 16 have mild symptoms and 1 severe while 65 patients are asymptomatic, he said.
For the 4th consecutive day, the death toll in the State remained at 701, of who 16 had co-morbid conditions, he said.
Altogether 1,069 COVID-19 patients have migrated to other States, he said.
Thus far, a total of 4,20,657 suspected COVID-19 samples have been tested in Nagaland. It includes 111,805 on RT-PCR, 89,706 on TrueNat and 2,19,146 on the Rapid Antigen Test, he said.
A total of 13,29,202 doses of COVID-19 vaccines have been administered to 757,668 persons as of Saturday, said State Immunization Officer Dr Ritu Thurr.
Out of the total doses administered in the State, 60,983 are frontline workers, 16,005 are healthcare professionals, 213,695 are people above 45 years and 466,985 in the 18 to 44 years age group, he said.
A total of 571,534 beneficiaries have received the second dose of the vaccine completing the full course of vaccination. They comprise 48,603 frontline workers, 13,540 healthcare workers, 178,034 people above 45 years and 331,357 in the 18 to 44 years age group, said Dr Thurr. (Page News Service)
