Kohima, March 9: Nagaland reported no fresh case of COVID-19 cases keeping the tally at 12,217 for the second consecutive day today.
“No +ve case of COVID-19 reported today. 1 +ve patient have recovered in Kohima,” said Health Minister S Pangnyu Phom in a tweet.
The caseload includes 11,955 recovered persons, he said.
The recovery rate is 97.85%, said Director of Health & Family Welfare, Dr Denis Hangsing in the daily COVID-19 update.
Altogether 91 persons including 10 with comorbidities have succumbed to the infection and 153 have migrated to other states, he said
The active cases, one in Dimapur and 17 in Kohima district, are all asymptomatic, he said.
Vaccination: Nagaland administered 46,469 doses of COVID-19 vaccines to 39,545 persons including 2,160 senior citizens and 326 people above 45 years with specified comorbidities, said State Immunization Officer Dr Ritu Thurr.
As on Tuesday, Dr Thurr said out of the total doses administered in the State, 26,234 are frontline workers and 10,825 are healthcare professionals.
A total of 6,359 healthcare workers and 565 front line workers have received the second shots of COVID-19 vaccine completing the full course of vaccination, he said.
Among those inoculated, no one has had any adverse effect needing medical interventions in the state till date, Dr Thurr said. (Page News Service)
