COVID-19 Nagaland: No new case reported

Kohima, March 15: No new case of COVID-19 was reported in Nagaland for the second day in a row nor was there any recovery thereby keeping the State Covid tally at 12,255.


“No +ve case and No recoveries of COVID-19 reported today,” said Health Minister S Pangnyu Phom in a tweet.
The caseload includes 11,966 recovered persons and 14 active patients, he said.
The recovery rate is 97.6%, said Director of Health & Family Welfare, Dr Denis Hangsing in the daily COVID-19 update.
Altogether 91 persons including 10 with comorbidities have succumbed to the infection and 154 have migrated to other states, he said.
Of active cases, 13 in Kohima district are asymptomatic while one in Mokokchung is with mild symptoms, he said.
Vaccination: Nagaland has administered a total of 58,195 doses of COVID-19 vaccines to 46,785 persons including 4,226 senior citizens and 836 people above 45 years with specified comorbidities as on Monday, said State Immunization Officer Dr Ritu Thurr.
Out of the total doses administered in the State 30,472 are frontline workers and 11,190 are healthcare professionals.
A total of 6,596 healthcare workers and 4,814 frontline workers have received the second shots of COVID-19 vaccine completing the full course of vaccination, he said.
Among those inoculated, no one has had any adverse effect needing medical interventions in the state till date, Dr Thurr said. (Page News Service)
