Kohima, March 5: No new case of COVID-19 was reported on Friday in Nagaland, while there was also no reports of any recoveries. The State’s COVID-19 tally stands at 12,210.
“No +ve case & No recovery of COVID-19 reported today,” said Minister for Health and Family Welfare, S Pangnyu Phom in a tweet.
The caseload includes 11,951 recovered persons, he said.
There are 15 active patients, while 91 persons including 10 with comorbidities have succumbed to the infection and 153 have migrated to other states, said Director of Health & Family Welfare Department, Dr Denis Hangsing in the daily COVID-19 bulletin.
Nagaland has so far tested a total of 1,31,491 suspected COVID-19 samples, including 74,951 on RT-PCR, 37,369 on TrueNat and 19,151 on Rapid Antigen Test, he said.
Meanwhile, as on Friday Nagaland has administered 41,835 doses of COVID-19 vaccine.
A total of 41,835 doses of COVID-19 vaccines have been administered to 35,860 persons including 800 senior citizens and 82 people above 45 years with specified comorbidities, said State Immunization Officer Dr Ritu Thurr.
Dr Thurr said that out of the total doses administered in the State, 24,486 are frontline workers and 10,492 are healthcare professionals.
Among the healthcare workers, 5,975 have received the second shots of COVID-19 vaccine completing the full course of vaccination, he said.
Among those inoculated, no one has had any adverse effect needing medical interventions in the State till date, Dr Thurr said. (Page News Service)
